The start |
PT was born on the 10th of July 1993 in Indore. We are 15 years old now.
PT symbolizes the epitome of a desire to excel and systematize operations in an industry characterized by serious lack of structure and systems. PT's current area of operations encompasses training students for various competitive exams in India for entrance to prestigious careers like MBA, MCA, MMS/MCA, Pre Engineering Tests, GRE/GMAT, Personality Development Programs etc. PT's main focus area is quality education programs for various competitive tests as well as development educational programs.
| The dream began in 1993 from a family garage when Sandeep Manudhane, an IIT Delhi graduate, took a bold decision and plunged headlong into the training industry, spurning final admission offers from the IIMs. He preferred chasing his audacious dream “Being a major participant in a sunrise industry with unheard of opportunities, albeit for those with the guts to tread the unbeaten track.” PT trained 40 students in the first year of operations in 1993-94. The growth |
| From a humble start, today PT has evolved into a national chain of franchised educational centers. From a one-man, one-location, one-product organization, PT has developed into a multi-product, multi-location, professionally managed education corporate. PT was the first to think of a franchise model in the competitive exams industry. From the first franchise operation in 1998 to our fortieth in 2005, we have a come a long way. The PT network has unmatched strengths. Strategically we have always been visionaries. Our being the first successful franchisors in our industry is ample proof of the same. We are operationally very sound, too. Emphasis given on streamlined and consistent operations to ensure customer satisfaction has paid us rich dividends. |

Since our entire business model revolves around people, we have always strived to create an environment that attracts, nurtures and develops talent. Today, more than 400 family members of PT spread across India share the same missionary zeal that gave birth to PT. PT is managed by young and highly qualified individuals. The average age of the PT team is 30 years. We are also an equal opportunities employer. Massive use of newer Technology platforms coupled with a fast growing grass-root infrastructure is what we will focus on. Of course, to deliver higher quality and never ending support to our students! Group PT’s revenues will cross Rs.40 crores this fiscal. We foresee ourselves as a quality education corporate worth at least Rs 250 crores by the end of this decade, delivering quality services to students around the globe through a mix of online and off-line delivery models. To realize this dream, we always are on the lookout for talented and capable people who can share this vision and bring an energetic approach to help us drive things forward.
Our 15th Anniversary celebrations were a big hit with all, more a celebration of our capability to bring students’ efforts to fruition than merely another anniversary bash.
With a sharp long term focus on education, excellent management policies, strong systems orientation and a genuine desire to make a difference, the PT family is all set to play a major role in shaping the ambitious youth. By the year 2010, we visualize ourselves as a world class training and development firm delivering high quality programs for every area under the umbrella of education. Needless to say, we foresee that most of our future activities shall be online. In fact, we have already drawn up plans to float all our courses on the net very soon. At the same time, we intend to continue on the high-growth path of classroom centers across the whole world manned by the best talent available and aided by the best technological tools possible. PT plans to continue its streak of success by ensuring continuous product portfolio enhancement to augment its reach to the target audience. PT is headquartered at Indore in Madhya Pradesh. At Indore, we have ourRegd. Office building at 4th Floor, Yeshwant Plaza, Opp Railway Station.This is a most modern construction with state-of-the-art classrooms and centralized administration area. Our Indore Centre is located at the same. This acts as an anchor point at a prime commercial zone. PT has all the modern pedagogical tools like OHP, Glassboards, Multimedia Projectors etc. We have a well-stocked library for the ready-reference of our students. And of course, we have a prime presence on the Internet too.
Our state of the art corporate offices is at Delhi and three regional offices are at Ahmedabad, Bangalore & Pune. These are state of the art offices with all modern amenities and a professional ambience, that is both stimulating and challenging. Our Delhi corporate office is located at Naurang House, 21 K.G.Marg, New Delhi. It acts as a prime contact point of PT with its strategic partners and as a central resource procurement hub for HR and best practices. Our entire workflow at the Headquarters and Corporate Offices is neatly structured along functional lines. The Knowledge Resources Group ( KRG ) handles all courses related development needs. Headed by the Team Leader, the KRG is the repository of knowledge and resources needed for products and services of PT. The Network Development Group ( NDG ) handles network expansion and support needs. Headed by the Team Leader, the NDG reaches out to potential franchisees and business partners across India. The Information Technology Group ( ITG ) handles all information management needs of the group. The head of the ITG ensures a constant streamlining of the basic IT resources needed to run the show smoothly. The human resources and training needs of the group are handled by the Human Resources Group ( HRG ). Constant training and recruitment are the key tasks of the head of HRG. The Brand Management Group (BMG) handles marketing and sales for Group PT. The entire printing and logistics of materials is handled by Printing and Despatch Group ( PDG ). These groups are staffed by dedicated and intelligent professional workers who ensure that their contribution to the whole cause is second to none! Our organizational structure is very flat, with informal communication encouraged at all levels to ensure that the best ideas float to the top.

We have spread our wings substantially by establishing a chain of franchisee all over India. We already have a chain of 40 (at the last count) high caliber franchisee and channel partners with qualifications from top institutes and valuable experience in a variety of fields. The PT Franchisee Program is based on the proven and trusted concept of Business Format franchising. We believe in an open, committed and transparent relationship with our Business Partners because after all, their success, our success and the success of our students and clients are inextricably linked. |

The network operations are managed by a team of dedicated experts stationed at the PT HQ who conceptualize, develop, maintain and audit the entire franchisee operations. Daily and weekly follow-ups on critical operational issues keep the system well-oiled and smoothly running. Stringent audit standards are supplemented with insightful suggestions for process improvement.
A new franchisee's entry into the PT system is a series of carefully guided steps that familiarizes him to the various facets of the PT philosophy and business. It is, at times, amazing to see how the new franchisees learn the ropes rapidly and translate that into real life results. PT's professional and highly systematic approach to network management is the prime reason for its rapid growth and continued success.
The problem of ensuring similar levels of quality in operations across the country is addressed through intensive training programmes. PT franchisees and faculty across the country necessarily undergo a rigorous orientation cum training programme at the PT HQ to prepare them for the battle ahead. The PT system ensures a regular support to all its centers through email and the website, rather than leaving them to their own. This, as the PT franchisees unanimously agree, is one of the best features of the PT network management policy.
